November 2016 Monthly Star Blast Horoscopes

Posted by Victoria Reinertsdatter on 31st Oct 2016

Hey, everyone!

Here comes November, and Autumn is fully underway for us up here on the northern half of this world. I know I am looking forward to some serious pumpkin pie and turkey-ing. Things are mostly quiet at the beginning of this month, with things really starting to take swing starting with the Full Moon on the 15th, a few of them being long-range climates going well beyond the New Moon on the 30th. Jupiter squaring Pluto starting on the 19th is a huge one. Neptune stationing direct & no longer being retrograde is another. And Jupiter entering sextile with Saturn on the 29th is kind of a big deal. We’ll get into how those and other things affect you as we go sign by sign, so without any further ado, here's what to anticipate for the coming month.

Have a great month!

Victoria

Aries ♈

This month, as I said, starts off relatively light, but there are some interesting things, especially for you, starting off halfway through the first week. The backdrop is that Pluto in Capricorn is square Uranus in Aries again, so there’s already that “old establishment vs. new progressive” vibe in the air. Now, let’s add Venus being trine Uranus between the 4th and the 7th, and The Sun being sextile Pluto from the 6th to the 8th.

We start, basically, with your sense of independence and need for change being aggravated with a lot of “how things are s’posed to be,” and Venus takes the edge off of it some, basically licking your wounds from being The Ram butting heads with The Goat. The Sun’s role looks more or less like as a mediator, working on a compromise between progress and tradition.

The Beaver Full Moon this month is right on the cusp of Taurus and Gemini, coloring the energy of the month to come with quite a formidable charge. Cusp energies are generally the blend of some very contradictory energies; in this case, we’re looking at a slow, lumbering mountainous mass combined with rapidly-darting flashes...in effect, a thundercloud. The upshot is that while in no way canceling each other out, you have progress at a slow and steady pace, that affords more than ample time to pick off small interferences to the overall movement of your life.

Now we enter into the Jupiter/Pluto aspect on the 19th that I mentioned earlier. This is an energy that could be all too appealing to you, Aries: this energy is all about dominance and wielding power over other people. That’s all well and good, if we’re handling that in a controlled environment like a competitive arena. But what if this bleeds out into the rest of your life? And see, the thing of it is, Jupiter is in Libra – opposite the zodiac from you, and Pluto is in Capricorn – square to Aries. In effect, this is likely to be something that happens TO you, rather than through you.

Now let’s have a look at Neptune going direct on the 19th. It’s a slow and subtle thing, where our attention shifts from our inner world to the outer world, and depending on what we’ve done during the retrograde, it can be very life-affirming, or it can be disillusioning. How well have you done with exposing how you fool yourself? We all do this to some extent, so if you’ve found nothing, well...it becomes awfully apparent now. But before we think this is going to be all gloom and doom, let’s consider what the word “disillusion” actually means. We normally think of it as a state of being “jaded” or “world-weary,” but really, those are only common reactions to becoming, as the word actually says, “not fooled.” We see the man behind the curtain, now are we disappointed or pleasantly surprised? If we see this as a progress into the next major transit of this month, it actually looks like a pretty good thing…

Enter the Jupiter-Saturn sextile on the 29th. What we have with the sextile of these two energies is “cautious optimism,” balanced growth and consolidation, growing property values, and stable growth. For you, Aries, we’re looking at you gaining core strength from the power plays represented by the Jupiter/Pluto aspect.

Taurus ♉

The big energies of this month are more of a backdrop than an intimate experience for you this month, Taurus. Except for the Super Moon coming around the middle of the month; that one is definitely going to directly affect you. More directly related to your concerns are what mostly amounts to interactions between Venus and the Moon. Starting things off, Luna and Venus are conjunct on the 2nd and 3rd in Sagittarius. It’s a nice integration of feelings when this aspect happens, where your desire and emotions are in sync, but there’s a catch. Bulls and Centaurs don’t understand each other very well as a rule; it’s a domestic versus wild issue. And therein is the trick, to embrace your wild side.

This ability to embrace a fiercely free mentality is a preparation for the two days directly after, when Venus trines Uranus. The thing here is that normally, you don’t mind too much trying something new and freaky in the boudoir, but usually, the other person has to initiate it. With this aspect, things are kinda awkward for you, because it’s you that wants to try this new, kinky thing. Putting that on the table is something that...well, you just can’t do THAT. The thing of it is, Taurus, it’s perfectly okay, healthy even, to bring this sort of thing out, maybe you can present it in a letter or by text or email? Kinda get that distance to be more comfortable about it? Take your time with it if you have to, the 8th looks like a good day for that as Luna sextiles Venus, and maybe actually do the thing on the 10th, while Venus and the Moon are square. Or the 11th, when Venus enters the much more agreeable sign of Capricorn. Even better would be the 12th, when the Moon enters your sign and is trine with Venus again.

Now, about that Super Moon on the 14th. This will happen on the cusp of Taurus and Gemini, so you definitely have a vested interest in it. Your normally “slow and steady wins the race” takes on aspects of quick thinking and even some impulsive action. It happens to everyone that relatively minor annoyances come up in our plans, it’s just the nature of the beast. What this Super Moon effectively does is that it gives you the quick-thinking skills to nip that crap in the bud.

Toward the tail-end of the month, several events look pretty good for you Bulls. First, the Jupiter/Pluto square on the 19th. You, my friend, are a big fan of rules, order, hierarchy, and structure, and that’s exactly what this event stands for. This means a strong sense of security is in order for you, and you couldn’t be happier with that.

Following this is Neptune stationing direct on the 20th. It just so happens that your beloved Venus will be sextile Neptune during this time, making this an extra great thing for you. You see, not many of the other signs are as introspective as you are – certainly not Libra, the other sign ruled by Venus. When Neptune goes direct, our view trends from our interior world to the exterior, looking for ways that we’ve been fooling ourselves. The outcome of that depends largely on how well we’ve dealt with our inner delusions, which you Bulls are actually pretty good at. Having cleaned house on the inside, now it’s time to clean the outside, basically.

The last week of this month still shines well for you more than many others. While on the surface that Venus being square Jupiter and conjunct Pluto doesn’t sound too promising to you, it’s also square Uranus. Overall, this has a strong suggestion that there aren’t likely to be any surprises in your world...certainly not in your love life, which is often the big chaotic thing for you.

Gemini ♊

This month might seem to be quite slow moving to you as it progresses, dear Twins. Things start off excitingly enough, but then starts to grind down to an almost maddeningly slow pace. The thing for you to understand, though, is that means it’s a good time for you to wrap up loose ends and tend to things that might otherwise escape your notice.

At the beginning of the month, we see Venus trine Uranus, which is definitely an exciting time for your love life. Things are unpredictable and spontaneous, and that means to you that there are all kinds of possibilities to explore. The Sun aspecting Pluto following that is something you might normally be nonchalant about, but directly after the Venus/Uranus action, it strongly suggests a new power dynamic in your relationship, and perhaps some new, darkly exciting developments in the bedroom.

The middle of the month isn’t all that shabby either, with Mercury aspecting Mars between the 14th and the 17th. This is one of your favorite aspects, since it adds a high level of passion to your ideas and the way you communicate, not to mention how quickly ideas come to you. But then there’s this Super Moon thing…

That this event happens on the Taurus/Gemini cusp speaks volumes to how things may start to grind down around you, and with that Mercury/Mars thing happening at the same time, you might get a bit irritable about it all. But here’s the thing. This slower, rumbling energy of Taurus that gets added to your approach to things, imagine if your approach typically involved a machine gun. You can take down smaller targets pretty easily, and move quickly from one thing to another, right? Now, tack all of that onto a tank. Now you have size and momentum on your side. You can take on bigger issues. And this is a good thing, because...

When Jupiter squares Pluto on the 19th and Neptune stations direct on the 20th, these are some humongous things. As your tendencies are, you’re likely to have some problems (more you against them) with authority. You don’t like being made aware of your place in the pecking order, and that’s exactly what’s going on here. Then this Neptune going direct thing...well, you’re not exactly the best in the world at introspection...no judgment, it’s just not your thing. But this time, it could well shoot you in the foot, at least until you knuckle down on things on the 23rd, when Mercury conjuncts Saturn.

Then Jupiter sextiles Saturn on the 29th. Saturn is...well, not your friend a lot of the time, at least in your way of seeing things. Saturn says “Slow down, be thorough, finish what you start”...all things that might bore you to tears. But on the other hand, we ARE talking about well-being being founded on you doing exactly those things. If it makes things any better, Mars trines Jupiter on the 30th, which does tend to put some wings on things.

Cancer ♋

This month, by and large, looks pretty good for our Crabs. The start might feel a bit crazy, what with the Venus/Uranus trine, the Sun/Pluto sextile, and the Mercury/Mars sextile that will define the first two weeks, but after that, things really start to come together for you. Before we talk about that, though, let’s look a little deeper into those first two weeks.

Simply put, Uranus, Mercury, and Mars are some pretty volatile planets, and you’re not big on volatile. And Pluto’s awfully intense, but at least it’s a steady intensity that you have time to adjust to. Essentially, what you’re looking at is what may be an uncomfortable spell in your love life, where they want to introduce new and quirky things, followed by some adjustments in your power dynamic (uncomfortable, because it’s a fundamental change in your world), and then your mind races so fast, the rest of you can’t keep up.

Thankfully, there’s that Super Moon on the Taurus/Gemini cusp to slow things down. You love that Bull energy because the changes are slow and deliberate, and they’re more lasting than clever Gemini “life hacks.” Not that there’s anything wrong with life hacks normally, until the duct tape gives way in your sink drain... anyway, all the better to tackle the larger issues with, my dear. This paves the way for the Jupiter/Pluto square and Neptune stationing direct on the 19th and 20th.

If the Sun/Pluto sextile was kind of uncomfortable because of that whole power dynamic thing, then this could be all out terrifying. Except there’s the fact that you’re braced to take on big picture issues. This is a more direct aspect to you since Jupiter is exalted in Cancer. You could be looking at some larger scale power issues, and you might just be the underdog here. It’s an awkward situation where you think “Order, structure, and hierarchy are great for keeping things running smoothly, but at the cost of my self-esteem?”

So begins the end of a long insular spell for you, though. You’ve already been weighing your self-esteem and what it depends on, and now Neptune goes direct on the 20th. You are probably the most introspective sign of them all, except maybe Pisces, and so this event bodes well for you. Having taken stock of the ways you might have been fooling yourself, now you look at the world around you and see the results of your work. And, for that matter, how those outside of you might have been hoodwinking you.

Towards the end of the month, you get some pretty major support in your issue with the powers that be. Jupiter and Saturn enter a sextile and Mars trines Jupiter. These two planets are normally considered to be “scary business,” but ultimately, that’s what they’re making you – not one to trifle with. Even normally, you can be something of a “sleeping giant,” and this configuration makes you, well, an “awake giant.”

Leo ♌

You Lions out there look to have an eventful beginning half-month, and an eventful two days at the end of the month, but not much in the middle will not do a whole lot to keep you stimulated until the end. You’re more or less okay with the Super Moon’s energy, but largely, its focus isn’t all that interesting to you. I mean, it’s mostly work-oriented, and you’re a star, right? All the same, it’s some useful energy to take on, so I advise you give it a try.

So, for the first week, Venus will be trine Uranus. Uranus is exalted in Leo, and you really dig Venus, so the excitement and change in your love life is a thing of beauty for you. Then the week wraps up with the Sun and Pluto playing nicely with each other, and as long as that power’s working for you, you love this kind of intensity. Then, things are quiet for the next week, until the Super Moon appears.

Full Moons are always a good time for you, and especially the Super Moons. The energy of this one isn’t exactly your cup of tea since it’s on the Taurus/Gemini cusp, but it’s not exactly a deal breaker, either. It’s just so work-oriented… The thing of the thing is, though, that this emphasis on steamrolling through your projects, with a quick eye for detail, is bound to make you a rock star at work, and who doesn’t love that?

This combined strength will be an asset for you during the next few weeks if you choose to rope this whirlwind. When Jupiter squares Pluto on the 19th, we’re looking at a power dynamic that you might tend to enjoy, that is, of course, if it means that you have the advantage in the situation. Maybe you do, maybe you don’t, and that all hinges on what you’ve done since the Super Moon. After all, the type of power at play isn’t one you normally jive with much.

Late in the month, like on the last two days, things get interesting to you again. The Sun squares Neptune and Venus squares Uranus again. Essentially, your eyes get opened to some people who have been hiding things from you. You might have noticed this on the 20th when Neptune went direct, but you usually don’t worry about how you might fool yourself, or how insincere others might be in their flattery. Well...especially with Mars trining Jupiter on the 30th, it’s something of a “clue-by-four” when it hits. Now, I’m not saying that this is a bad thing, or that the news that’s coming means they don’t like you. In fact, everything is pointing toward things people have been hiding BECAUSE they like you and don’t want to hurt you.

Virgo ♍

This looks like an interesting month to you, dear Virgo, though some of the swings in the energy dynamic aren’t exactly things you care to deal with. Let’s start with the Venus/Uranus aspect in the last few days of the first week. First off, Venus is in Sagittarius, and Uranus is in Aries. Neither of these energies are the type you can wrap your mind around very well. Spontaneity? Impulsiveness? Nope, not for you. And when these two conspire to bring even more chaos in your life? Oh, hell no!

Thankfully, this mess culminates in a sense of order that you can well understand, once The Sun sextiles Pluto. You like clearly-defined roles, don’t mind (even crave) being in a subordinate position, and things look pretty good leading into the Super Moon. And you’re pretty keen on the energy of this Full Moon.

If there’s a such thing as a pre-existing sign that encompasses the Taurus/Gemini cusp, it would be Virgo. The big difference is that Taurus/Gemini isn’t as likely to get overwhelmed by or caught up in the details. It’s decisive, which you could use more of. And it’s at your disposal, so you’re a virtual devourer of everything you do. “Bring it on,” you say, “I can handle it!” And what’s great about you plus this Super Moon energy is that you provide the kind of organized mind that it needs to really reach its full potential.

Which is perfect, because that leads us right into the Jupiter/Pluto square and Neptune stationing direct. Jupiter and Pluto’s aggravation is one that you might otherwise feel a bit awkward in. You love Libra’s diplomacy and poise, and you think that Capricorn’s dominion over its world is...well...those words are blush-making. Anyway, to see those at odds with each other is distressing, and of course, you have to play mediator between the two. “Can’t we all just get along???”

Now, about this Neptune going direct...on one hand, you’re relieved about it, since your critical eye isn’t pointed at yourself as much anymore, and back to the outside world where it belongs! But here’s the thing – if you didn’t learn anything from your acidic criticism being pointed at yourself, it could cause you problems with other people. And it’s something of an ironic thing that although you’re good at “processing and passing” things, you’re not always good at seeing your own faults. So that could trip you up in the days to come. At least you’re prepared to go easy on yourself if you did fall short...

The last two days of November are less eventful for you, though Venus being square to Jupiter and Uranus could cause you to rush to the damage control button. Your love life...you’d think you had everything on lockdown by now, but here you are…

Your only problem with your love life is that you tried locking it down from the start, Virgo.

Libra ♎

In matters of love, you like things to be somewhat predictable, so in your mind, this month might start off on a bad foot. On the other hand, if you need to be pleasantly surprised, that’s certainly in store in the first week. Your ruler, Venus is trine Uranus from the 4th to the 7th, so unpredictable change is in store.

When the Super Moon comes on the 15th, you’ll generally enjoy what it brings. You’re quite agreeable with both Taurus and Gemini energy, and you can do quite well at using what seems to be polar opposite energies simultaneously. Seeing both sides of an issue is a piece of cake for you naturally, and this plays into what’s coming on the 19th when Jupiter squares Pluto.

Combined, these energies are quite a powerhouse, but it’s some piece of work to do it. Especially with Jupiter being in Libra and Pluto being in Capricorn. While not exactly polarized, the best interest of everyone doesn’t exactly jive well with the kind of autocratic outlook that Pluto in Capricorn has. But you have the diplomacy to pull it off.

When Neptune completes its 180-degree turn on the 20th, well, you don’t have much to think of about it. It’s one of those things... this super-spiritual introspective stuff isn’t exactly in your bucket list. What does catch your attention, though, is when Mercury conjuncts Saturn on the 25th, and Venus squares Jupiter and conjuncts Pluto. Again, we have some very peculiar plays, where our thoughts and words become awfully serious, and our love lives become SERIOUSLY intense. Even more so when Venus squares Uranus on the 29th. It seems that there’s been a bit of nonsense that you’ve allowed in that part of your life that comes to an end suddenly.

Scorpio ♏

This month starts off with something of a kaboom for you, Scorpio; whether that’s a good thing or a bad thing, it’s hard to say, since Venus is trine Uranus. This much is certain: the end result looks good for you, when the Sun sextiles your ruler, Pluto. It looks like whatever happens during the course of that, there’s a shift in “who wears the pants” in your relationship, and it’s you that has the power, as it turns out.

The Super Moon on the 15th isn’t exactly one that appeals to you very well, but sometimes, ya gotta do what ya gotta do. This event is on the Taurus/Gemini cusp, both signs that you think are kind of superficial. But at least Gemini’s interesting in its shallowness... and Mars being in a good aspect with Mercury doesn’t hurt in helping you swallow that pill. So you have a metric ton of extra energy to handle everyday stuff at your disposal.

On the 19th, Jupiter squares Pluto, and this is where things get really interesting for you. It’s a major event and presents everyone with the choice between what’s good for everyone, maybe at your own expense, and protecting your own interests, which could mean that others might be out of luck. Is there really any question of which side of this issue you’re on? At best, you realize that you can’t help anyone if your needs aren’t met. At worst, you could leave a partner sticky, broken, and confused if that relationship doesn’t suit your interest. And it could well be the latter this month, since Venus is sextile Neptune at that time, and that does kinda present some unrealistic standards in the relationship department.

Then, on the 25th, Venus conjuncts Pluto and squares Jupiter, underscoring that you’re most likely going to go with your own interests, versus the common good. It seems that you’ll want to avoid making that choice, since a few days later, Venus squares Uranus, and Mars trines Jupiter. It’s hard for you to see when you’ve gone wrong because you have such deep insights, but this is one case where your instincts lead you astray.

Sagittarius ♐

This month is thankfully a mostly light month for you, dear Centaurs. There’s a bit of excitement in the first week, while Venus is trine Uranus. You’ve needed your love life shaken up a little, Sag, and that’s exactly what’s going on here. It’s a good time to try new things, new people...new anything, as long as it’s new! After the somber tone of October, you could use a break like that.

The Super Moon on the 15th might be a bit trying for you, though. Right as the Sun is entering your sign, the Moon is on the Taurus/Gemini cusp. To you, watching the world is something like watching the Jerry Springer show. Lots of talk, lots of WTF, and “I can’t believe some people are like this!” Be careful about that, dear Centaur, pride is a good thing, but when it comes to looking down on people, it doesn’t look good on anyone. And that might be a thing when Mercury sextiles Jupiter on the 22nd, so it’s wise to put your finger over your lips before you put your foot in your mouth.

Speaking of your ruler Jupiter, it squares Pluto on the 19th, so for you, awkwardness is in the air. Basically, you believe in freedom and prosperity for all, especially this year, and that butts heads with people who think very differently about things, that “those who die with the most toys, win.” There’s validity in their perspective, too, as to prevent them from hoarding things for themselves isn’t exactly allowing freedom and prosperity for them. Oh, paradox…

On the last two days of the month, things get interesting for you again. Mars will be trine Jupiter, and Saturn will be sextile Jupiter, as well. Just after Venus squares Jupiter and conjuncts Pluto. It looks like that foot in mouth potential could really come out then, just before the New Moon, so definitely, be careful with what you say!

Capricorn ♑

This month has quite a bit in store for you, Cappy, some of it more pleasant than others. We start right off with some shaking up of your love life, and you’re not terribly amused by it. You like stability in your love life because you like your life compartmentalized, and all too often, noise in one area bleeds a bit much into another. But at the end of it, you have what you want, when the Sun sextiles Pluto, which is in your sign.

You have somewhat mixed feelings about this Super Moon coming on the 15th. On one hand, you can appreciate a lumbering hulk of a machine that can snipe off little annoyances as it goes along. But on another, you might see it as lazy and lost in trivial things. And that’s more or less what the Super Moon is giving us. It’s a good thing you have the mental discipline to get the most out of it.

Soon after the Full Moon, Jupiter will square Pluto, and this isn’t exactly a situation you’d tend to enjoy. You see, you’re trying to build up your power base and you’ve had tons of setbacks. Now that things are moving forward, there’s this push for you to “share the wealth.” Not seeing that you’re in any position like that, you might bristle some at that.

Mercury sextiles Jupiter between the 22nd and the 24th, and conjuncts your ruler, Saturn from the 23rd to the 25th. That would be a good time to state your case and show that you’re not exactly living in opulence since some apparently think you are. Finally, things look like they come around your way between the 25th and 27th, when Venus conjuncts Pluto in your sign. And finally, on the 29th, that situation smooths over when Jupiter sextiles Saturn on the 29th.

Aquarius ♒

Your involvement in the energies this month is quite intimate, Aquarius, since not only do the energies afoot affect you directly, but there’s also a lot of indirect affectation to you as well. In the beginning, toward the end of the first week, Venus is trine your ruling planet, Uranus. It looks like there’s a new appreciation for beauty happening, or maybe a newly appreciated beauty that’s smiling back at you.

Soon after that moment, you snap back to the central thing that’s been on your mind for the past month or so. Ye olde strain between yourself and those powers that be types. Between the 6th and the 8th, there’s a flare in this dynamic, as the Sun sextiles Pluto, and you might feel a little jealous that things look well for them right now.

When the Full Moon appears huge in the sky on the 15th, the energy it carries is one you have a bit of a love/hate relationship with. You can certainly get high off the information it provides from the Gemini end, but the Taurus end is one that bores you to tears. But all the same, you realize that the slow, lumbering “everyman” has its uses, and there’s plenty of grunt work you have lying around.

When Jupiter squares Pluto on the 19th, you feel like you have help in your struggle carrying a dose of diplomatic aplomb. It’s certainly something you feel you need on the table because there has so far been no quarter between this unmovable object and yourself. It would do you some good to realize that this energy is more like a referee at this point, not particularly in your favor, but at least not favoring THEM.

At the end of the month, there comes a choice about your love situation. You may be feeling that it’s stifling your freedom, and it could be about time to let go of that person who needs you a bit too much. Let’s hold off on that decision for a few days; it might be a bit too early for all that…

Pisces ♓

Until the 15th, there really isn’t much going on in your world, Pisces, and you’re okay with that. You like your quiet time, and it’s a good time for that. On the 15th, the Super Moon comes along, and you’re not sure what you think of it. On one hand, you like the element of indulgence that it seems to bring with it, as you’re quite indulgent yourself at times. But that part doesn’t run nearly as deep as you do, so it can feel a bit empty.

The other element of the Full Beaver Moon is... well, a bit too busy for your taste. It’s all over the place, and it winds up driving you all over the place, and ultimately getting you nowhere. And it’s not terribly deep either. But that’s the thing, this energy is all about making accomplishments on the material plane, not on the ideal, and it’s important to maintain your ideal plane. So let’s make the most use of it…

Jupiter is your classic ruler, having been supplanted by Neptune, but Jupiter events are certainly still valid for you. Especially when it squares Pluto on the 19th. You’re squarely on the side of equal everything for everyone, as none of this material stuff really matters anyway; you can’t take it with you to the grave. But the thing of it is, having some hoard what they gain while others starve is awfully inconvenient in an ideal world.

Surrounding the time when Neptune goes direct, Venus sextiles it, and Mercury sextiles Jupiter. As your view shifts from your inner world to the outer world, you see these things going well, and everything is “workable,” at least at the start. But as we go, you see that something’s not right with the world today.

Venus squares Jupiter and conjuncts Pluto on the 25th, and that can be somewhat stunning to you. To you, love and generosity go hand in hand, so to see it being clingy and jealous, well... you’d nearly forgotten how love sometimes goes that way. And then, at the end of the month, Jupiter puts on a stoic warrior face as it sextiles Saturn and trines Mars, while the Sun squares Neptune. It seems that what you’ve held to be ideal about how people should get along gets shot down pretty harshly. The call seems to be to “nut up or shut up,” and you seem to be more about putting on the war paint than the camouflage.
